Floor convector

This system consists of convectors embedded in the floor. They are an excellent solution for large glazed surfaces.

Indeed, they create a barrier between the cold air near the bay window and offer gentle warmth in the room.

Moreover, their installation nestled in the floor leaves the field free, with only a grille visible, available in many colors and models, and can also fit all configurations of shapes or angles.

Be careful not to cover them

Never leave anything above the grille of a floor convector. Also, avoid placing flammable materials above the grilles (such as curtains, drapes, cabinets, blinds…).

The advantages of a floor convector

  • Aesthetic, discreet, and easy to integrate
  • Has the advantages of underfloor heating but in a localized manner
  • Heating felt as gentle and natural
  • Neutralizes cold drafts
  • Very short response time
  • Practical for highly glazed premises.
  • Renewable energy: compatible with all heat production systems including heat pumps

The reversible heat pump

The primary purpose of this type of equipment is to heat your interior, but with its reversible function, it becomes capable of functioning like an air conditioner.

It will not have the same cooling power as a pure air conditioner, but it will still cool a room well during the summer period.

It is therefore a two-in-one device that draws its energy from the ground, water, or air depending on the chosen operating principle.

For heating, it works like a classic heat pump, and for cooling, it can be either passive or active. In the first case, the indoor air is simply evacuated. In the second, however, the refrigeration circuit is activated in reversible mode and allows, like a refrigerator, to effectively cool the air before transmitting it inside the home.

The advantages of the reversible heat pump

  • Constant and pleasant temperatures all year round
  • Less bulky in the home since a single console heats and cools
  • Economical because the reversible heat pump produces between 2 and 4 kW for 1 consumed
  • Renewable energy: it uses non-polluting natural resources
